The Sainte Collection, by Lambert et Fils
A collection about the forces that anchor us—a suspension light in dialogue with gravity.
Created in collaboration with Canadian designer Rachel Bussin, the Sainte collection, by Lambert et Fils, reimagines the rectangle in layered, colourful glass. An elegant floating mass supported by robust nylon ribbons.
Powered by a flat wire embedded in the nylon, these anchors carry a casual, contemporary spirit: an everyday material flirting with its graceful, minimalist centre. The form can suspend from any angle and height, and in multiples, offering infinite architectures and possibilities. As a collection, it presents a dance of contrasting materials and an equilibrium of opposing powers.
Nine scaled models offer accessible designs for different spaces—the four vibrant models of the Atelier Series and the five never-seen-before models of the Classic Series. In each design, an aluminum box rests within the transparent glass, casting light up or down depending on the desired mood. The form can suspend from any angle and height, and in multiples, offering infinite architectures and possibilities.
The Sainte Classic Series
Sainte Classic invokes the theatre of the collection’s original models into accessible designs for different spaces. Featuring lightweight glass, slight dimensions and subdued colours, these adapted tones unearth ambiance and imbue a sense of intimacy.
The Sainte Atelier Series
Unveiled at Milan’s Fuorisalone, Sainte Atelier is scaled for grand, lofty spaces. Boldly hued glass holds presence and weight, harkening Sainte’s atmospheric installation at Caffè Populaire: lighting that creates a spectacle, that becomes a monument.
