The shelves may deflect slightly over time.

In order to maintain a straight profile, we recommend a max load of 15 kg per shelf.
As brass is softer than steel, shelves w/ brass hangers will "warp" more than shelves w/ steel and black hangers.

In 1957, the Danish designer and manufacturer Poul Cadovius launched the shelving system System Ultra® as a successor to the iconic and successful Royal System® from 1948. The design of System Ultra® is based on the same wall-hung principle as its famous predecessor, but it has its very own visual identity.

System Ultra® is characterized by its elegant, ultra-thin shelves with a wave-shaped edge profile that gives the shelving a beautiful organic shape. The system consists of wall-mounted rails and shelves with hangers in brass, stainless steel or black powder coated steel. It also comprises a clothes rack and a cabinet. In 2019 dk3 relaunched the original design from 1957 in steel, and now the steel components are accompanied by rails, shelves, and a cabinet in wood. The variety of System Ultra® offers the possibility to customize the system in multiple individual combinations, where the materials complement each other and accentuate the simple and elegant design.

In 1957, Poul Cadovius exhibited at the XI Triennale in Milan, where he won a silver medal for System Ultra®. A highly treasured prize and an international recognition of an exceptional design idea.
