Fogia Celebrates 10th Anniversary of the Tiki Collection

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Tiki family, Fogia has launched a limited edition model of the Tiki. All Tiki armchairs and sofas, in the vintage Tobacco leather, purchased during the anniversary celebration will come with an embossed leather label and matching leather tag.

The origin of the Tiki sofa is a story as unique as the design itself. When Fogia first approached Andreas Engesvik in 2014 to collaborate, the brief was for a vase. However, in an unexpected move, Andreas returned to Fogia with something entirely different —a sketch for what would become the Tiki sofa. Instead of following convention, he envisioned a piece that combined softness with precision, creating a design piece that could offer the perfect blend of lightness, comfort and elegance. Intrigued by the idea, Fogia embraced the concept and the Tiki family was born.

Since its debut, the Tiki sofa has been celebrated for its elegant yet approachable design, blending form and function with its slim frame and plush cushions. Its distinctive silhouette, with pillows subtly reminiscent of sails stretched by the wind, nods to Thor Heyerdahl’s Kon-Tiki expedition, inspiring the sofa’s name. Over the past decade, Tiki has become a symbol of relaxed luxury, featured in homes, public spaces, and even popular culture. More than just a success, Tiki has shaped Fogia’s identity, marking the brand’s commitment to innovative, forward thinking design. Its timeless combination of simplicity, sophistication, and comfort ensures its status as a modern classic.

Each Tiki sofa is meticulously handcrafted at Fogia’s own factory in Poland. Using traditional artisanal techniques, our skilled craftsmen pour their expertise into every piece, ensuring a quality that transcends trends and stands the test of time. The combination of fine materials and time-honored methods not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also guarantees durability that can be passed down through generations. With each Tiki sofa, you’re not just acquiring a piece of furniture; you’re investing in a legacy of craftsmanship and enduring style.

For a decade, the Tiki sofa’s influence has extended beyond homes and showrooms into the world of popular culture. It has been featured in high-profile productions such as HBO’s hit show Succession, where its sleek design fits seamlessly into the show’s depiction of modern luxury.
